Originally from Northern California, now based on a small farm with an attached bakery in rural Japan, I split my days between working with food and working with words. Away from my computer there is a good chance you will find me in the fields with an audiobook to keep me company. At the computer I edit nonfiction, with a particular love for helping people tell their own stories in their own ways.

My history with editing begins in my college days, when while studying sustainable development I took an internship editing grant applications. Over the years I have added work in tourism, business, and personal writing. These days I am a member of ACES, the Society for Editing, and have completed the ACES Poynter Intermediate Certificate in Editing.
