The world wants your story. We want to read about the journeys you have been on, learn what your unique experiences have taught you, and maybe even try your family recipes. Modern self-publishing gives us access to a wider variety of work than ever before, and we are all the richer for it.
The process is tough but you’ve done the hardest work already. You have written your story and revised it so many times that you now see your computer in your sleep. You have asked peers to read your work and you have revised it again. But now, the finish line is within sight! The next step is copyediting, which will bring your work up to the next level by removing grammatical errors and ensuring consistency and clarity.
We can work together to make sure that things like the spelling of names stays consistent throughout (if it’s Sara on page one, we don’t want it to be Sarah on page nine). We will search for typos so that “though” doesn’t accidentally become “thought.” We will tackle commas and hyphens. We will double-check the full name of the middle school mentioned in your memoir. And, most importantly, we will ensure that your voice as the author is preserved.
